Hi there!Cardiff will be my insurance choice (haven't replied on UCAS yet). When should I apply for accommodation and do insurance applicants have a say in which particular hall they'd like? I know the deadline is 31st August but it seems that it's open only for confirmed firm offers? I can't find anything else on the site. Also, what's the best option for a student from the Business department (distance, access to shops etc, prefer loud to quiet). Thanks!

I don't think you get a say until results day as its not your firm. Unfortunately that means all the good places may be gone, and I've noticed a lot of insurance people this year have ended up in Uni Halls, which is a 40 minute walk from uni and has pretty average rooms. If you do get a choice, go for Taly South, theres a tesco extra and a tesco express under 10 minutes away, has a great social vibe and everything happens there. Any of the Taly's would be fine for you!
