I would say Essex or Sussex University are the best options for non RG attendees

Heard Sussex is also quite overrated tbh.

    Great social life though apparently.

Essex? The fact I've heard nothing about them probably says a lot.

Where abouts have you applied to?

I applied to King's Southampton, UCL, Sussex and QM.

Got offers from King's and Southampton, and Sussex, rejected by UCL and QM still considering.

    You?

    Really? I don't think so.

Bath, St Andrews, Leicester, Loughborough, Lancaster and Royal Holloway. All non-RG Uni's, all significantly better than the two you mentioned.

Edit: I should also add to this, that some of the Uni's I have mentioned above are WAY better for some courses than RG Uni's.

Further Edit: Exeter removed because I didn't realise it was RG, however point still stands for other Uni's mentioned.

My bad, I'll remove that from the original post. My point still stands for the other Universities though.

My opinion is that warwick and Oxbridge (contentious I know) are highly overrated, whilst Nottingham university is underrated. Then again, my experience and research is only for Psychology and life sciences.

    According to whom? :holmes:

    I've never heard that.

Along with places like Bath and Sussex it is a popular choice for people who didn't quite make it into Russell Group unis.

Hence why almost 30% of their intake each year are privately educated students.
