    IMPACTS ON URBAN AREAS:

    - High influx of people leads to a shortage of housing and jobs
    - Increased traffic
    - Greater amount of pollution and waste
    - More competition for school places etc.
    - (LEDC's) The formation of squatter settlements, poor sanitation, leads to disease

    IMPACTS ON RURAL AREAS:

    - Younger people are the ones who generally move, causing an elderly population in rural areas
    - Services begin to shut down due to less demand
    - Lack of funding to improve infrastructure as less taxes are being paid

    Hope this helps a bit

    IMPACTS ON URBAN AREAS:

    - High influx of people leads to a shortage of housing and jobs
    - Increased traffic
    - Greater amount of pollution and waste
    - More competition for school places etc.
    - (LEDC's) The formation of squatter settlements, poor sanitation, leads to disease
    - more jobs available will cause people to move into the city, henceforth increasing living costs (which will then lead to a shortage of jobs as mentioned above)
    - better and more accessible forms of transportation
    - greater income to smaller self-managed businesses as there will be more tourists

    IMPACTS ON RURAL AREAS:

    - Younger people are the ones who generally move, causing an elderly population in rural areas
    - Services begin to shut down due to less demand
    - Lack of funding to improve infrastructure as less taxes are being paid
    - agriculture will be less appreciated causing farmers to shut down their business', meaning for milk etc 'factory farming' will be most prominent which isn't ethically right
    - increase in traffic congestion & noise pollution
    - sense of community will be taken away from locals

    Hope this helps a bit
