    Could it?

I'm thinking I'd make a maths website, with a view to making something I'm proud of and making money. I'm serious about the timescale to make something decent. I'm thinking 7 years at least, and then making it a lifelong project...

I'd make it at undergrad/grad level. Is there any money in this idea? Would I be better just studying maths for my own interest and forgetting about making a website?

tbh the idea of web design doesn't hold that much interest to me, although I'm disciplined and would learn the necessary skills if there were money at the end of it.

I'm running short on ideas to make money. I have autism and mental health problems and although I hold a good maths degree, I work in a dead end job for now as my health prevents me working effectively elsewhere/getting in elsewhere.

There's lots of free content already available on the internet you'll be competing with, so I'm not sure if you would make a fortune from this. If you wanted to make something fancy (like mymaths if you've ever heard of it) you'll probably need to learn a lot of coding skills, or hire someone else to do it.

If you wanted to do it as like a little side project to make something you're proud of and could help people, then I think that's a great idea. You could always set up a donation thing on the website once you have some content up and people might donate to help with the upkeep costs of the site, and you could get advertising on it.
