I'm doing AS English Lang and Lit as well as AS History which means a lot of essays. I'm having a lot of trouble with the timing for my essays though...It seems that when I'm in the exam I barely manage to write enough especially for English.
Have you guys got any advice on how to beat time when writing essays in an exam? Any specific way to practice?
Thanks a bunch!!!!

Do lots of past papers, but also, make sure you know your content really well, because that way you don't really have to think about what you're writing that much and spend time trying to remember something.

Apply for extra time.

do you set deadlines for each paragraph or part of your essays? That's how everyone at my school is taught to do it so that youll never run out of time. As soon as you get to the deadline you wrap it up and move onto the next paragraph because that will get you the most possible marks and you'll write so fast your hand falls off lol
