lonely... had a bad day

I don't really know why I'm posting in here, I've just a really bad day. Sorry to complain, I know loads of peoples problems are much worse than mine and I have nothing to moan about. :smile:

I'm just a little lonely... I'm away in France at the moment and kinda lonely because I'm not really getting on with one of the people here...there aren't many of us and I'm not that close to any of the others, I guess I'm just homesick, shouldn't be posting here really. Only have a week and a half til I get to go home, that's not long, I know... It just feels like a long time sometimes when you're out here. Sorry for the rant ... thanks if you took the time to read. :smile:

Hi

Are you on your year abroad (like as part of a course) or is it a gap year? You say you aren't getting on with one person but is there anybody else nice who you can chat to? Not everyone will like you but you should concentrate on those who do and ignore those who don't. Remember home is only a phone call away, and a week and a half will zip by. Whatever happens think to yourself "who cares, I'll be sitting in my own garden this time in two weeks". That works for me atm :wink:

Yeh I'm away at a language school as part of my gap year... I just haven't met that many people and we have a small group of a few of us but as I said I'm not that close to any of them, though they're nice, and my best friend here left on Saturday, which was really sad. There's one guy who unfourtunately is the only one that lives with me and is in my class and he's just miserable to me, I don't know why, he's fine with the others and he just makes me feel a bit crap, I usually love to be friendly with people but it's hard with me. But your right, your advice really helped - a week and a bit will go quick and you can't be liked by everyone, I know! Sorry again for the rant, and thank you you did cheer me up! :smile:

Your housemate does not sound nice.

I highly recommend a pick-me-up, nice hot bubble bath, some good quality chocolate, and a good DVD ^_^

Unfourtunately I only have a shower but the DVD and chocolate sounds like a v good idea! Sometimes you just need a hug from your family and when you don't have that, turn to TSR! Thanks for your time xx
EDIT - and AngryBanana, I never thought that about that guy - maybe your right! Oh well that's a nicer way to look at it at least!
