    Did anyone else notice that on line 38 it says:
    antineutrino + 1/1p ===> 1/0n + 0/+1e

    But it should be a neutrino, NOT an antineutrino.... :cool:
    Worth bearing in mind for a "whats wrong with this" question maybe?
    What else do people recon might be asked for the comprehension section? :confused:

    the equation is correct. lepton numbers on both sides are -1.

    its not correct, the equation reads:
    antineutrino + 1/1p ===> 1/0n + 0/+1e
    but to make the equation correct it SHOULD read:
    Antineutrino + 1/0n ===> 1/1p + 0/-1e
    OR
    neutrino +1/1p ===> 1/0n +1/+1e

    I checked it with my teacher as well so i know im right.

    Does anyone have any other ideas on what might come up? :confused:

    Antineutrino + 1/0n ===> 1/1p + 0/-1e
    lepton number LHS= -1
    lepton number RHS= +1
    therefore incorrect.
    neutrino +1/1p ===> 1/0n +1/+1e
    lepton number LHS= +1
    lepton number RHS= -1
    therefore incorrect.

    yeh the equation in the article is correct.

    Cos the lepton number are conserved -1 on both sides
    Baryon numer are conserved +1 on both side
    And charge is conserved as well +1 on both side

    yeh sorry was confused when i agreed i meant the diagram is that labelled incorrectly, as in the neutrino, should it be labelled an anti-nuetrino?

    The diagram should be anti-neutrino, we complained and sent a message to OCR and they said they were using the term neutrino as a generic term, it covers both neutrino and anti-neutrino. To which my teacher started calling us all one name and everything was the same, LOL. We were angry at the decision by the board to use neutrino the way it did.

    Yeah we complained over the neutrino/antineutrino diagram as well. It even contradicts itself.

    Might be grounds for appeal if it all goes pear-shaped though :-)
