Hey, I recently made my account and I'd sooner post this thread anonymously since it's a little embarrasing...

So I'm a student from an Eastern European country, I'm 19 years old and I'm going to study in the UK. Where or what I'm going to study is irrelevant to the topic of this thread.

I just wanted to know if a very short, sort of dark skinned, black hair & brown eyes guy with a foreign accent would fit in student life in the UK? I don't mean to sound paranoid and I'm well aware that the UK is one of the most diverse and accepting places in the world in general, but I'm talking about university and university life in particular. How do students treat people like me? Will it prevent me from making friends? Can it cause me anxiety? More importantly - how do girls like guys like me? I suppose there is more to physical attraction than what I listed but the rest of me isn't pretty to be honest. My face looks like Dresden on the day of Feb. 16th 1945 due to severe acne over the past 7 years that wasn't treated (couldn't afford any treatment) and after a surgery I had recently I'm not in a good shape either.

1, yes youl,l be fine universities are the most accpeting and diverse environments with a high % of international students.
    2. Girls i cant say. I dont think you should experience any racism, but whether you get a gf depends on looks, but also confidence and personality. Manye you will need to work on yourself a bit, youll have plenty of opportunity to meet girls. Just be friendly and repsectful to start with.
