In pain (bad tummy aches)

Wasn't quite sure where to post this but I've had really bad tummy aches for a couple of days and my tummy keeps making really weird noises...i'm thinking it could be because all i've eaten in the last 3 days is pasta/bread (parents are away and that's all they've left me)...is that probably the reason why i'm in alot of pain or could it be something else? :s-smilie:

Have you eaten any fruit or veg? You could be a bit bunged up!

Drink boiling water ( I mean hot water, damnit you know what I mean), also eat something other than pasta. Try some meat or fruit.

It wont cost much to get some from the local shop.

Also do you have trapped wind at all? That could be it.

It could be hurting because you're hungry. Try eating something a little more substantial, i.e. including some fruit/veg and something containing protein, i.e. veggie mince/meat depending if you're veggie or not...

Don't forget it could be stressed induced. :s-smilie:

Perhaps drinking lucozade may help. Or powerade - powerade has many more vitamins than lucozade. Yoda shall suggest red flavour powerade rather than blue flavour for red flavour tastes of cherry.

It's really not a good idea to eat nothing but pasta and bread for a few days - white pasta and bread will bung you up and wholemeal pasta and bread will give you stomach aches if you're not used to that much fibre. You really do need to go and eat something sensible as soon as you can, like fruit or veg, or fish, meat or a vegetarian alternative. It's really not sensible to try to live on a limited diet like that, it can cause all kinds of problems - I don't mean to be rude but maybe you could look at learning to cook for yourself?

However, if you're feeling unwell and have a fever or severe stomach pain, it might be a good idea to call NHS Direct if you're worried.

Yeah I do need to learn to cook for myself, i've resorted to not eating dinner because all we have left is rotting macoroni cheese  thanks for all your help.

You could also maybe have a mild yeast intolerance, which is quite common an often links to many of the symptoms of IBS and stomach problems.

This the first time youve had such symptoms, i.e. the only thing thats changed is your diet being heavily based on pasta and bread?

GO SEE YOUR DOCTOR

Perhaps you should go to a doctor? Wouldn't that be the most sensible thing if you are getting stomach problems for an extended period of time? No, lets ask some random strangers on the internet what to do:smile:

If your problem is from pasta and bread, it could be a whole lot of problems finding out what you real problem is. Common allergens in pasta and bread include:
egg
milk
yeast
wheat and/or gluten
Just to name a few. If you have any other symptoms, diarrhea, bloating, flatulence, abdominal pains, anaemia, vitamin deficiencies, etc, there's a good chance you've got an intolerance to something.

Alternatively, you could have a stomach ulcer? Pretty serious.

Could have some form of food poisoning/bacterial gut infection/gut parasite, also pretty serious/nasty.
