# integration by parts Watch

1. can someone do a step by step guide for me on this question.

The total profit made by the company between the 10th and the 60th day is given by P = 100∫ t ln t dt

Use integration by parts to find the total profit in these 50 days. It is between the limits 1 and 6 but I didn't know how to add them when typing the question.

You get the right answer. Could you please explain why the 1/2 comes out and why it just leaves t before you integrate the second part.

You can take out the constant and out it to the left of the integral sign. That is . It's still there in reality but it can make it easier if you just put it to the left.
