Last night someone I went to school with put up some pictures of herself from a modelling shoot and got 150 likes. I commented on it though saying 'you ugly old *****; you can put a turd in a dress but it's still a turd'.

I've been getting loads of abuse though since and want it to stop. Should I post a public apology?

No, you gotta own it. If you apologise people will see you as weak and abuse you more. Maintain the frame.
