Anyone doing GCSE History for AQA (Medicine through time and Germany 1918-1945) please help me out.

First of all, there is a lack of past papers(there is only one speciment paper I can find for practise and i've already done it)

secondly, revising it. I don't know how to link factors and facts altogether. for example one question i remember was "which development was more important in fight against disease" and 1 option would be the theory of the four humours. but in my notes and revision guide given by the school it would only say WHAT it is, and doesn't state its importance

so anyone who has already done it, or is very good at it, can i please have advice on exam technique(how you would get the most marks) and what you use to revise. thanks

    Hi,
I'm doing OCR History - Cold War, Germany and Britain so it may be a bit different but I reckon the exam techniques won't vary much.
For questions like the one you have said, you could start off with saying Option 1 is more useful because blah blah blah. And list out reasons, historical facts and sources. After that you could say, ' However, some people may think Option 2 is more useful and then list the other side. Finally give an overall answer on which option is more useful in your opinion. Be clear.
Questions which ask for the usefulness of a source can be similarly answered. You list 2 sides of the argument and then give a final conclusion. You can start off by saying "This source is useful because..." and then "However some historians may argue that it is not useful because..."
Use linking words like Furthermore, Additionally, On the other hand, However etc. Remember to use paragraphs as well as it will give examiners a clear idea of what you are stating. Use key facts and figures where possible.
I can't really remember much right now but I hope this helps as a fellow History student.

I remember bring in your situation last year This year it's a bit less difficult for me to answer questions but since my history teacher changed, it's quite different.
