I don't think I've used one of these for years but not sure whether this is a good idea or not. Basically, those red phoneboxes in London are being replaced with office pods where people can pay £20 an hour to work.

    I smell an April Fool's.

Why would you get rid of something so iconic?

I once heard it ring once. As in someone was phoning the telephone box!

I've done that plenty of times... I've also asked people to call a phonebox so I can look cool as :dolphin::dolphin::dolphin::dolphin: picking it up in front of Victoria station.

Dude you posted this on some other forum too, and the article only links to two sites so it's an April Fools Day prank. They would never get rid of them because they're iconic and attract tourists.

I don't think they attract tourists to be honest. I'm unaware of it being an April fool, my mate works for the company and asked me to post on a couple of forums.

The news would have spread by now, plus the office pods would cost more than the phone boxes as £20 per hour would not cover all the costs and I guarantee business won't be using them in a hurry. Plus wouldn't you provide your own office equipment? It will be expensive. This is obviously a marketing ploy for a business you're working with to gain customers and publicity.

Wow - Even if that was the case, why would you bother wasting your energy getting upset about it? It's just a bit of light heartedness. On a Friday as well.
