# Centre of mass Watch

1. I got 90-(the answer in the book) for the angle.. can anyone help explain why?

2. I think they are after the fact that the shape is symmetric about the horizontal line through the middle of the shape parallel to the bottom edge.

I don't see how that would change the angle compared to what I've done?

The tangent function is opposite/adjacent. You seem to have accidentally done adjacent/opposite.

The length opposite is and the length adjacent is so:
