Hi, me and my best friend are planning on going on holiday this summer for 4/5 days - to a week and so we were wondering if anyone had any recommendations on where is best to go? We are both 19 years old and were after somewhere that is hot and sunny but has plenty to do, nice food and plenty of bars and somewhere that isn't crazy expensive! We were thinking of Budapest but are welcome to any suggestions, whether it be a city break or a beach holiday!

    Thank you in advance!

My friends and I are off to Barcelona :cute:

All I can say is it's better to decide soon, as flight costs only keep going up as it gets closer to the date, and obviously availability of places to stay goes down...

Cannot recommend Bulgarian Black Sea resorts enough, cheap booze, plenty of parties, and if you are willing some interesting historical and cultural days out too...
Bit more interesting than boring old Malaga

    I most definitely would!

I've been to Venice, Florence, Lucca, Pisa, Rome, Milan and Genova
I didn't like Venice or Pisa, I find them overrated and was annoyed by the amount of tourists. Hehe, Yet I was one of them myself.
Milan is kind of boring unless you're passionate about luxury fashion brands. It's good for maybe half a day, so you get to see the main sight which is the cathedral/duomo and get the feel of the city.
I can't say that much about Genova, I liked it but that might have been because I loved having a single room for the first time during the 20 days I was solo tarveling. And I love the sea, so.

I absolutely love Florence and Rome, Lucca is cute for half a day.

French riviera is pretty nice, too! Not to mention Barcelona! If you happen to go to Austria, Vienna might be interesting (depending on your interests) and Salzburg is so warm and welcoming!!
I also love Croatia(Zagred is ok, but plitvice national park and the dalmatian coast are just phenomenal!!) and Slovenia; Ljubljana is small but cute and lake Bled is sweet, too.
