Hi everyone, I have a question on how much GRE score results count for application to master at the University of Amsterdam.

I have applied for the Master Science in Economics at the University of Amsterdam recently and although they don't specify the minimum requirement of GRE to be admitted they give a median of 158 for the quantitative score, unfortunately after taking the test with very little study I scored a 150 quantitative and 158 verbal, still waiting on the analytical writing. My question is how much this will influence my application given that I have very high average at the moment (GPA of 4 in every economics and mathematical subject) and solid recommendations? Does anyone here have experience of rejection based solely on GRE score at this university.

For the admitts universities take into account the whole profile. So if you have good GPA and solid recommendations then I suppose a quant score of 150 would be ok. There are also subject specific courses you can take along with your MS. So see if you can take one in Maths. Checkout with the university if they offer bridging course in maths and go for it.

Thank you so much for the reply, I have already applied so I will wait for the response, hopefully like you said they will consider everything... In the meantime I will search if they offer prep courses in maths.
