Skinny.

Hello, i'm 15 and i'm skinny. I've grown heightwise alot recently so now i'm maybe a little over average height(for boys..). My BMI is about 19.5, so in the 'normal' range but near the bottom of it.

i'm going on holiday at the end of august with my school to france, and would like to get some muscles, or at least for people not to be able to see my bones through my chest :P if possible. what method do i go about this? do i need to gain weight and then turn that into muscle, or just do something else. i'd like, mainly, to beef up my skinny arms and get something over my ribs. thankyou. even though it's not a serious problem it feels weird writing this.

To build muscle youll need to do weights etc, are you a member of a gym? Youve got a good three months till your holiday so should be able to make some gains for then if you work hard :smile: Anyway im not an expert on this so go and look in the fitness forum / post this there

Have you thought about protein/calorie shakes? Sometimes I find myself unable to eat, and so I drink complan through the day. My boyf is underweight from an illness, and when he needs to gain weight he drinks the 2500 calorie milkshakes twice a day, on top of 3 big meals a day.
