I'm just about to finish 2nd year at uni studying Zoology. I have no idea what to do over summer, ideally i'd like to travel or do something related to my course or the environment (Basically something I can put on my CV). The majority of animal based conservation costs through the nose (£1500+ excluding flights), so I don't know where to start? Last year I spent my whole summer working in the local pub like 50 hours a week and it was pretty :dolphin::dolphin::dolphin::dolphin: so I don't want to do that again but I still have some of the money that I made.

**Also my main friends work at full time jobs so it's looking likely that i'd be travelling alone this summer...

If you want to go into science your best bet would be to get some relevant experience. Otherwise relevant transferable skills are also good.Check with your department if there is anything coming up. You may be a bit late for some things but you can always try.

I've been keeping an eye out for things like that since January, but unfortunately nothing in my field
