    Hi,

I'm currently doing my AS-Levels and I'm currently on track for straight A's, but the course i want to do at university is an essay based subject and i chose pretty bad A-Levels.

So i was wondering if i could do an EPQ (my college offers this) and how would i go about doing one?

It's probably best to ask your college whether there's still time for you to do one. What you'll need to do depends on which exam board you do it with, if you're with AQA then I can give you some pointers on how to lay everything out etc

Where I am located an EPQ is a one year course, thus making it not to late to do it. This will obviously depend on how your school is ran

Yep there's more than enough time. In my sixth form everyone started over the summer between AS and A2, and everyone gave their presentations in February, so just ask your college to get you started!

It's not too late - talk to your school. It's one of the few things (with Edexcel at least) where you can enter in January* so if you get started after your AS exams and get the bulk of it done over the Summer holidays you can complete it and submit it before you need to worry about revising for A levels.

    * Enter in January actually means enter in October and submit the work in January, results come back in early March.
