Independently studying Chemistry + Biology a-levels - advice needed! Watch

I'm currently finishing my degree in Classical Studies at KCL. I realised half way through the course that this wasn't what I want to be doing - eventually I would like to go back to uni and study medicine. However, all my a-levels are English and history based so I would need to sit my Chemistry and Biology a-levels.

As I will be a graduate and working full time, I wouldn't be able to enrol on a full time course, neither do I have the funds to afford a distance learning course. From the research I have done, it seems like self-taught study would be my best bet.

Can anyone offer me any insight into how this works? Particularly when it comes to sitting practical examinations and exam boards.Any advice would be much appreciated! I will be based in London if that's any use
