So I'm currently trying to decide between the two before the accommodation deadline!

Norwich is a lovely city & I felt that the illustration studio space was quite a bit brighter/nicer/spacious.. There's only about eighty people on the course ... It has student accomadation quite close by with ensuite and it looks like a mini art student community there. Aswell as this the other courses are quite close by meaning if I wanted to use the animation studios etc I could just walk down there.

Falmouth.. Is a gorgeous place!! And I think it has one of the best reputations for illustration? Although I know because of this.. This year there are many more students, I think going from 85 to 125... So this is a bit daunting. The studios were a bit darker and more crammed and I'm worried that the intake of new students will make this worse? And also the accomadation situation is weird there... With only small halls in falmouth which aren't ensuite and then the studios and then all the rest are in penryn..? All of this side I still want to go and apprently it's supposed to be amazing industry connections & there are trips every year.. Aswell as the fal beach lifestyle would be incredible!

Anyone in a similar situation or have any opinions on the illustration courses at either? Or the unis in general?

I am having the exact same problem and I have the same opinions! Its such a difficult decision, I'm worried that if I go to NUA I'll regret not choosing Falmouth and the experiencing the Cornish lifestyle - an opportunity I might not get again D:

I live in Cornwall - and Falmouth is definitely expensive but has a really good reputation for the arts. I'd personally choose Falmouth

Ahhh as if you're havin the exact same situation!! For illustration too!? I don't know what to do, I feel it'd be easier to get a job in Norwich too and it's easier for me to get home.. But then there's just giant reputation for falmouth and it seems daft to not go? Ah! Ahhahaha such hard decisions. Where do you live currently?

For illustration!!! I wish that Norwich's studios were in Falmouth! Norwich is closer for me too, Falmouth is so far away! I agree, I feel I ought to go to Falmouth as its no.1 and I would probably be more likely to get a job after the course, I think?? I live near Grantham, which is in Lincolnshire but nearish Nottingham, you?

I was doing a comparison chart thing and I realised that the nightlife at Falmouth is more suited to me (small bars, pubs, open mic nights) and Falmouth have loads more societies than Norwich - including horse riding, kayaking and wildlife media! I'm still not sure though! York is also very far from Falmouth!
