    Are you in the UK becayse that makes a big difference. Have you been here for a while? Managed to stay at the same address for a while?

    Ok have deleted this as have a better handle on it.

    It doesnt look like you can get the bank accounts available to home students, but will have to open a less generous international acccount, which has no overdraft, but will give you a card and let you do online banking etc.

    It just requires going into the bank and telling them you wnat to open an account + having the required ID. Passport, some letter confirming you are a student from the uni and some forms of id, normally correspondence to the address you are at to confirm proof of address.

    This is for security reasons. Tiy dont get an overdraft becayse they find it hard to recover money from students abroad.

    The first link explains accounts, but ignore the offers becayse they are for home students.

    I do not know if you will be prevented from opening a normal student account and have tp iopen an International one.
