I have this guy at uni who seems to like me a bit. I also have a guy in my seminar group who has asked me on a date. When I mentioned to the guy I think likes me that I thought the other guy fancied me he said 'no he doesn't don't be ridiculous'. Now I know this other guy does fancy me as he's asked me on a date but I never said that.
Is this a jealous reaction? Or just a sign that he thinks I'm not that guys type?

Pretty obviously he's just jealous. I'd ignore it

Maybe he thought I was being inappropriate by saying that guy fancied me. Or he just thinking I'm too unattractive for men to like me?

Why not just teart things as they are?
1. Guy 1 cant possibly know from what you told us and he also doesnt realise guy 2 has asked you on a date. Guy 1's opinion is rubbish, unless he has inside information from Guy 2.
2. It might be jealousy, it might be ebcayse he likes to know better or any other reason. Does it matter? Also get the negativbe thoughts out of your head, you onviously must have some attractive qualities otherwise he wouldnt ask you out. Dont worry about what other people think, its what you think that matters.

Just jealous, and frankly if you're deciding between the two I'd go with the guy who hasn't insulted you tbh

You guys are right. He does seem jealous. He's actually a lovely guy, so his reply shocked me. That's why I asked the question.
