    I'm self teaching. I was wondering if it's given anywhere or if the question i'm doing requires you to work it out, but are we supposed to know the mass of a proton/neutron in terms of u? Or is there a way of working it out?

    What exam board are you? Edexcel does not expect anything of the sort. They should give it to you

    You can work it out using the mass of a proton/neutron divided by the mass of 1u which is given at the back of the exam

    Never mind, I just looked over the formula sheet again and it's underneath the row. I would delete the post but I do not know how haha. It's AQA btw.
