    Hi,
I'm currently completing a 3 year undergrad degree and receiving student finance. During my second year I intercalated due to illness and I repeated the second year.
I'm now in the 3rd year of my course but my 4th year of funding due to the resit year. In january of this year both my Grandma and my Aunty passed away and the university have said that I can intercalate again due to the extenuating circumstances.
If I do resit this year would I be able to get funding from student finance again to fund this resit year? I am asking because my degree is a 3 year course but if I resit this would be the fifth year that I would need funding. However without the funding from student finance there is no way I could fund the intercalation.

You would need to have SFE approve the additional funding due to "Compelling personal reasons". It sounds like both of your resits would come under this category - contact them over the phone to ask how you can go about this. You'd need to provide evidence (so doctors notes for your second year and whatever evidence you can get hold of for your bereavement - have you used your unviersity's counselling service as those records of attendance can sometimes be used as evidence).
