Hello at Coventry University we have to cretae a TV show based around the concept of a magazine show much like the style of the 'One Show' from BBC.

Our first idea was to create a TV show based aorund social expressiona and how social networking sites have taken over our world and if its a good thing or a bad thing? Also touching on things such as should the app YikYak be band or is being annonymous on social networking sites a good thing??

Would any of you guys actually find thins an intresting topic? Or have any ideas on how we could strenghten this to make it a better idea?

Unless you think its a boring idea then what would you rather watch??

Please help us! Any feedback is good feedbak so dont holdback with the negativity haha

Have you been given a specific demographic to target with your show? As you've described this it sounds like it would be targeting a fairly young demographic - the sort of people who don't tend to watch magazine shows because they don't watch "live"/scheduled tv.

If you wanted to broaden your appeal you could look at how older people are using social media (my partner teaches elderly people in basic IT and most of his pupils are trying to get onto email and Facebook in order to stay in contact with family and friends as their physical ability is restricted). Or look at the baby boomers who are recently retired and have thoroughly embraced social media (my mum is forever on Twitter and goes to weekend long meet ups with her Facebook friends (TOGs)).

Maybe something about how live tweeting has changed how people experience live "event" tv (bakeoff, eurovision etc would not be the same without Twitter).

You could also try looking into how traditional media has used social media to create content.
