Essentially yes because the time it takes for the sperm to fertilise the ovum from release is a few days so you need to have that release of sperm a few days before ovulation so that they can meet each other in the Fallopian tube.

Saying that ovulation can be at different times for different women depending on their normal monthly cycle so it's not always two weeks after your period that you ovulate!

I think you guys are taking this too literally. It's a metaphor.

What I think it means is that people wear perfume / cologne so that people associate them with a pleasant smell, and for women especially they are unlikely to be successful if they dont make an effort to please others.
