I have no idea how to revise for english literature, and i have two exams- one on plays (king lear and antigone) and poetry (chaucer) and my second paper is on outsiders ( scarlet letter and catcher in the rye) however i have no idea how to plan my english revison. I have 6 weeks until my exams and i plan to make notes for two weeks then start memorising my notes 4 weeks until my exam, but i do not know how to make notes- do i write relevant quotes and context for each past paper or how do i go about it?

Past papers. Presumably you know the material well now? I would look at a few papers and make a list of topics that might come up based on characters and themes.

Some areas are going to repeat and thats where I would start making my notes and spend the last two weeks doing questions.
