I'm just wondering what ye guys use as ID for nights out etc in the UK? In Ireland we have an Age Card that is issued through the Guards (Police), and you can get in with a drivers licence and a passport too. Have ye got anything like an Age Card? I'll be going to college in the UK in September

There are citizencards under the pass scheme but they aren't widely accepted normally people would use driving licenses or passports.

See what its like when you get to Uni. If its around uni i.e pubs then I doubt you will get challenged. You will get challenged in supermarkets if you are buying alcohol.

There are 3 id card schemes (maybe more) , but claire mentioned the most popular one. I wouldnt go round carrying your passport for ID its too valuable. Driving licence you might have on you anyway. save your money until you know its useful.
