So I'm on the contraceptive pill and have never missed it (a couple of hours later here and there but apparently there's a 24 hour window anyway). I have recently been super hungry all the time and have noticed my stomach is swollen a bit. Today I've been urinating a bit more than usual but im not sure if that's because I'm looking out for it or not. My boobs may be a bit bigger but aren't sore or anything, and I haven't had any sickness or anything like that. I had my usual withdrawal bleed/period four weeks ago, but skipped this month because I am on holiday this week. I've heard that you can get periods even if pregnant while on the pill, which is what is concerning me (I'm sure I wouldn't be having these symptoms if I was just 4 weeks pregnant anyway) so I'm wondering how accurate that is? Do I have reason to be worried?

I can only take a test a week today as im on holiday, and I really couldn't keep a baby if I was pregnant, I'm starting uni in September (medicine degree). I have a boyfriend who ive been with for 2 years, im not just sleeping around. I'm really just looking for someone to put my mind at ease until I can take a test because im sort of obsessive over things like this when I get it in my head. please no stupid responses.

Assuming you took the pill correctly then its very unlikely, if it makes you stop panicking then maybe take a test for piece of mind but i wouldn't worry too much.

You will get period like symptoms when you skip a pill free week.
However, if you're having sex without using anything and this causes you to worry the simple answer is to use a condom as well as the pill.
If you make the decision to have sex and rely just on the pill then please educate yourself in it.
Worrying about something that is about 98% effective is silly.
