Have an induction day this saturday 9-6. does this mean i got a job cause they never said. it was like " Induction day is saturday 9-6. bye."

Yep sounds like to me.

I had an interview on Wednesday, they rang me today saying i'd been successful and that I have an induction on Monday and Tuesday, 9-5.

What exactly does one wear to these days? I wore a black short sleved shirt and black trousers to the interview, this sort of thing again or less formal?

I was less formal for the interview so I seriously doubt it matters. They'll probably sort you out uniform pretty quick anyways so it's academic really. Whatever you'll be comfortable sat around in watching videos all day.

There is a Sainsbury's thread with over 7000 posts with people from all over the country doing various jobs so it would be better to post in there.

Hi,
I recently got offered a permanent job at Sainsbury’s and whilst going through my contract I noticed that they have said my employment is valid from 12th June until 22nd September.

I’m just wondering if the reason why they put the end date is because of the 3 month probation period that they have for new employees.

If anyone could give me any advice on this it would be much appreciated.

Sainsbury's are increasing their rate of pay from £8 per hour to £9.20 per hour in September so it may be because they need to give everyone new contracts when that happens.
