I never really revised outside of class for GCSEs and managed to get:
    4 As
    4 Bs
    1 C

I know I want and need to revise for my AS exams because my GCSEs didn't reflect my potential I feel. I take English Literature, English Language, Media Studies and History. I'd say History is my worst subject and Media studies my best, however I dislike English Language the most.

How much should I be revising outside of having 5 hours of lessons for each subject every week (20 hours a week altogether) and does anyone have any revision tips for revising essay based subjects like mine?

How long you should revise varies from person to person. Try to focus on content learnt opposed to time spent revising.

I want to cover all my history topics again as I feel like I don't the story completely. I said I need to spend about 12 hours per each half of my History course subject to make sure I know the complete picture for my AS exam. I just don't know to revise after I know the topics. Any tips for the remembering the course itself? As well as Historians...
