I want to go in to IB/Finance. I have offers of A*AA from both Durham and Warwick for Economics, for which I know Warwick is a more targeted university - yet I much preferred Durham as a university.
If anyone could guide me, this would be really helpful as I need to make my choices soon. I'm also after a particular statistic, the % of Durham/Warwick Econ grads making over £38k and the amount in banking?

    Simply... who should I choose?

    Thanks,

    Warwick.

The statistic you're looking for is beyond pointless. Get either a front office IB offer, a top strategy consulting gig, a grad scheme offer at an AM shop and your all-in compensation for first year will be more than that figure.

For finance (in terms of numbers breaking in, firms engaging with and targeting the uni), Warwick > Durham.

For anything else, there's not much difference.

It's not really a debate, imo. It's been this way for 10-20 years.

Honestly, if you prefer Durham - go to it. There's not much point starting a thread about IB prospects between the two when you'll get the same answer as above. Some firms still do target Durham, just not all of them.
