I am currently an undergrad junior studying Middle East Studies at Columbia in NY, I am considering spending next semester at SOAS and was wondering if it is worth it. Can anyone who is familiar with both institutions tell me whether I have something to gain by spending a semester at SOAS - I mean by this, is the approach to MES different from that of Columbia? Are the faculty representative of different perspectives of the field? Is there a different range of academic and non-academic opportunities?

    Thanks!
