which med school accommodations have the best wifi???

I'm guessing all the london ones will do cause fibre optic ya know

apart from london which med school accommodations do you think will have the best wifi?

and by "med school accommodation" I mean any university that has a med school, what will the wifi in their accommodations be like. Are there any that are known to be super slow?

I know imma go insane at uni if I can't stream shows from time to time, or like skype properly n sh*t (that's if I even get in to begin with lol)

DOES ACCOMMODATION EVEN HAVE WIFI?! or will I have to use mobile data 24/7

Yes, I'm pretty sure in this day and age all halls will have wifi, and no matter where you go they're going to have internet that can handle skype and streaming tv shows.

And as an aside, I'm currently getting 10mb download in London on fibre optic and during my first degree at Nottingham I got over 100mb most of the time.

I guess it was a bit of a stupid question but I saw a thread about someone asking about broadband speed in certain uni halls and it got me worried! I just don't want it to buffer alot.

Thanks though wow so nottingham is faster? do you think that's to do with population size?

Not sure, Virgin Media just had brand new service in that area and I also think I lived near one of the nodes. I'm sure there are areas of London with very fast speeds.

When I lived in London my area had one of the slowest broadband speeds in the country.

Most people will have gone to one med school uni, unless they're doing grad med and did undergrad at a different uni. It's hard for them to give an objective view on which the best is.

All unis have good enough WiFi to watch shows on, I'd say. But the higher the population, and the more users there are, the worse it can be.

Rotherhithe - couple of years ago now, but they still didn't have fibreoptic broadband.

I started uni 12 years ago and was streaming stuff all the time.

    Is this really an issue?
