    I got just around 7 A*'s and 3 A's for my GCSE's and IELTS scores of 8.0

Will I be able to make a competitive application into oxbridge?

Cambridge isn't going to give a rats ass about your GCSE's nor does your IELTS score mean anything noteworthy. Do your AS Levels then ask.

    Lol do your AS first

Then you'll decide whether to apply

But generally, yes 7A*s at GCSE is good

    You've done fine so far.

However, you say "around 7 A*'s and 3 A's" which actually seems rather specific

Depends what you're applying for, I got 9A*s at GCSE and was told not to apply to oxford for medicine
Other subjects you'll be just fine though (depending on AS)

You have started to build a healthy profile to apply to Oxbridge. You need to do well in your AS before having a real chance of being competitive. Don't rest on your GCSE results. There are some people out there with similar grades.

    Good luck.

Medicine is a little different though, to be clear to others. No other course has such stringent GCSE requirements.
