    Hi guys

I have a direct debit with Barclays currently, but I'm wondering whether I should open a student account with Barclays for my loan to go in instead of my direct debit account...

I'm commuting to uni in September, so I know my maintenance loan will be typically lower than if I were to stay at uni... so is it worth making a student bank account which is mainly for overdrafts and freebies (which I don't think I need)?

Please let me know what you think.

    Thanks!

You don't have to decide this now. You can put your current bank details in and then update them if you get new details in August.
