It could be skin cell damage. When you get sunburnt say, the ultraviolet radiation is absorbed mainly by your DNA, causing damage. Some of this can be/is rectified, but sometimes it isn't causing abnormal growth, such as distorted hair growth, uncontrolled division, etc. On its own its pretty insignificant.

Is the hair coming out of a mole or freckle? If it(freckle/mole) increases in size, changes in colour, starts hurting, starts bleeding, etc, go and see your doctor as soon as possible because you could have a melanoma(skin cancer).

The moral of the story is, wear sun cream, and try to avoid being burnt by staying in the shade and covering your skin with long sleeves.

i work part-time in a shop and there was a girl who came in with her whole arms with really long hair (about an inch and a half :frown: poor thing)

i just googled it and i think it happens to a few people... there's a world record for the longest one (http://wbli.com/morningshow/longestarmhair.html)

don't worry about it  just pluck it as it'll make it grow back less, or cut it.

I have a random blonde hair on my NOSE. I dunno how long it would get if I let it grow though.

Oo I have this too!!! The hairs on my arm are dark but on my left arm I have one blonde hair that is freakishly long, it just keeps on growing and by the time I notice how long it's got it's like, 'Eww!' I just snip it with scissors when it gets longer than a non-freak hair lol...I have no idea what it could be though...just one of those weird things.
