MMORSE or just standard BSc MORSE?
Either would get an interview though Imperials maths course could possibly be a better option overall.

Imperial Maths, is better by every measure. Some people need to wake up, how can you not know the answer to something as obvious as that. In fact, for quant work Cambridge and Imperial are probably the most succesfull unis in getting people in. Imperial is better than warwick, on every account repution/quality/prestige/networking/location. Imperial is situated in South Ken, probably the most prosperous regions in London, whereas warwick is situated in coventry, equivalent to what you would call a dump. In fact i've heard people say its not unusual in coventry, to randomly see farmers chase there pigs and sheep in the middle of the road .

Ive studied at Warwick and I can certainly say that it is not a dump. Warwick is a campus school that is self-contained and it even has its own 24 hour Tescos! I guarantee you there arent any pigs and sheeps in the middle of the road. There are ducks though which go QUACK QUACK QUACK, but thats about it. Both Imperial and Warwick are target schools, I guess it depends on HOW YOU SEE IT, not Top Trader who has some anti-Warwick fever today for some reason :P

That is not fully up to you, as it is decided upon your grades from year 1st and 2nd if you can continue Masters, or if you have to finish as BSc.

Yeah, but I was asking as in whether the OP is 'planning' to do a masters.

Ok...following on from MORSE degree Vs. Imperial...

Mustard Man - I have applied for MMorse, but may change later!

I still am a little unsure about whether to pick Warwick or Imperial. I know that Imperial wins hands down international reputation wise, but surely it won't make much of a difference employability since Warwick has a better Maths department than Imperial and the MORSE degree is probably the only one of it's kind offered by any of the Universities.

Was also wondering, how much does anyone that has posted know about the MORSE course? And why have they said that Imperial is better (for those that haven't explained :P )

I really appreciate the help, thanks xx

P.S. this has been posted in AlphaX is thread as well...but might be more chance that people will follow on and reply from this thread...

I had an offers for Econ, and MMORSE at Warwick, and turned down the latter because of the ridiculous amounts of abstract math and no-life that one has to put up with. It's probably the toughest quantitative course at the university, and as a result one of the most respected as well (in general and by employers). But from what I figured, you dont get to enjoy that respect much in your early years cuz ur locked in ur room studying like a bi_tch to get that 2:1 or first. Econ all the way

Gosh... Meh...I'm still having second thoughts...but less stressed though.
Jess, all you need to do is post this in Health&Relationships forum and you should have the whole of TSR involved in the decision making process. You've made like 2 threads about it in here and 2 in the maths forums, [scouse]calm down [/scouse]

hahahaa... I know panicking is no good, I've been told that, but I can't help it. When I start panicking I get really really depressed and panic more. I'm sorry about the onslaught of new threads about this created...
Imperial imo
