Hey! I'm a first year in university and I've recently gotten my overall grade back for my first module. This module in particular I wasn't the greatest at and no matter how many questions I asked, lectures or tutorials I went to it just would not sink in. As the title mentions, I got a final mark of 49% which is a Third as far as I know and I'm not impressed with myself in the slightest. I'm doing pretty well in university overall, but this topic isn't a strong suit for me - other modules I'm getting either a 2:1 or a 1st. I've heard a lot of people mentioning 'first year doesn't matter' but I'm doing placement in third year so clearly it does, they won't have second year grades when I apply and I'm worried this will harm my prospects later on. Am I right to be worried?

If it's just one bad module I wouldn't worry too much.
