theur softwares matched some of my work to stuff online!

This can happen. Some of the sources you may have used may flag up in the plagiarism searches. Typically they allow a small amount of plagiarism to account for in-text quotes or references, but this can happen if you copy large amounts of text from online sources.

I'm not sure how the OU handles plagiarism, but some universities invite you to a sitdown to let you explain how you done this. They are capable of giving you 0 marks for that assignment and they can even disqualify you from the course for submitting plagiarised work. The best thing you can do is get in contact and explain how this happened, try to work out a compromise.
