Can anyone tell me what the relevance of the bond strengths of C‒H, C‒F and C‒Cl is in determining their impact in the upper atmosphere?

    Thanks a lot

The damage done by CFCs is ozone layer depletion with an overall reaction of O3 + O. -> 2O2, which is catalysed by halogen radicals - so what would be the connection between bond strength and the generation of radicals?
