    Moslem in arabic means someone who is evil or unjust, Muslim means someone who worships God, pretty big difference.

    But in regards to Americans it's probably them just being unaware of the true spelling.

    There's no real difference. Moslem is simply an older spelling of Muslim. Expect certain people to pretend that there is an objectively 'correct' way of spelling a transliterated word and that anybody who doesn't spell it that way is a racist, though.

    Don't worry about it bro. I'm a muslim and I say Muzzlim most of the time. Can't help it if our accents make us pronounce it like that. Don't let them give you crap for it; you and I don't mean harm by it.
