Had a short discussion about it over dinner and I've put my thinking cap on.

So he had a meeting with a friend in a hotel in the upper floors of the Shard. He then makes his way down the road past a restaurant that catches him on CCTV. Then a week later his remains are found in a flat not too far away.

So apparently the neighbours smelt something funny. They were greeted by a bloke in Speedos and later the PC's body was found.

Bearing in my mind the PC was gay, I wouldn't be surprised if he was having an affair and things turned nasty. It got out of control and the bloke he was seeing attempted to get rid of the body.

The reason why I think this is the case is because the PC knew the person he met in the flat and might have been in contact with him for a while. I reckon the police will look through the phone records of the PC and the 49 year old they've arrested today.

What are your thoughts on my theory? What are your own?
