If TRUMP wins the election and carries out his plan about Woman rights/Muslims ect. What do you think will happen to US and what will happen? WW3?

Well he has to pass his proposed ideas through Congress. I think? And WW3 wont happen lol

Trump is a high probability, but he needs to get through two hurdles.

One is the RNC convention, it is becoming extremely likely that it will be a contested convention... and the RNC really do not want Trump.

At this very moment, Trump is a very polarising candidate, like marmite - you either love or you hate him. This is true for inside the Republican party and outside...

So, there is a decent anti-Trump sentiment that is building up in the Rep party. Cruz may be "hated", but he's got the evangelicals, he's got the tea party types, he will probably get the moderate and the establishment Reps as he is Not Trump. So it will be a Trump vs Anyone-but-Trump, and RNC will try their outmost for their to be a Not Trump candidate (even if that means Cruz, Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan who aren't exactly the best of people).

If he gets the nomination, then obviously there's the general. If we assume Clinton gets the nominee (as of right now, that's more likely), Trump can do two things: he can keep calling Hillary a bitch and weak on Putin (in that case its President Clinton) or he can start pointing out corruption left, right and centre (in that case welcome President Trump). If Sanders get the nomination, obviously the corruption and the lying rhetoric will fall flat on its face as Sanders isn't Clinton, so the only thing he can do is just call him a socialist communist etc etc. Ironically, some of Trump's policies aren't so much different from Sanders - or at least going by what he says (e.g. healthcare, protectionism, anti-trade deals, anti-war [when it suits him]). Trump has flip-flopped on most things, the only thing he hasn't flip-flopped on (as per my knowledge) is immigration, and that would be the difference. Its interesting to know whether he carries on playing with white nationalist groups (I'm not the type of people that are calling him racist, but he has these groups).

That's my take, but I'll fully admit I am biased towards Sanders.

You're right though, there is a strong anti-establishment sentiment growing (from the left and the right).

Now, I have to admit that I believe Trump is really a fraudster. He is just doing everything to get attention (and possibly get elected), hence he is saying absolutely everything so people can project which version of Trump they want onto him.

Very unlikely to happen, a lot of what he's saying he won't look to put into practice, and clearing congress would be a monumental hurdle no matter who controls the house - the democrats would block most things out of principle, while the Republican party wouldn't be particularly in support of him since he's part of an outside wing.

If somehow he were able to push it through though, WW3 wouldn't happen - that's being overly dramatic to say the least.

Probably not. The thing is though, he is unpredictable. He could start WW3 with Russia or completely reduce US militarism... (he has said both those things before), so again he has flip-flopped to his fans can project whatever they like onto him, and his anti-fans can only point out what they don't like...

Case in point, he said "I am Israel's best friend" & "we should stay neutral on this issue to bring peace"...

and "more war! bomb families" & "stop endless wars, we should spend the money on infrastructure" ...

Both on the same debates about 1 hour apart...

What I think is that he's gonna get into office and hire a load of "consultants" to do the dirty work... so probably that means more Dick Cheneys :frown: ...

Bernie Sanders is the clear choice
Honestly I'd be very happy if they re-amended the 22nd Amendment and let Obama back in for a 3rd term.

I don't think it will lead the World War 3. It will just cause quite a lot of infighting and xenophobia in the US.

For WW3 to be started, there needs to be a major international crisis. For example, Israel attacking Iran (will cause Russia to react), US invading North Korea via South Korea (will cause China to react).

The US cannot go into more wars and other nations are too weak to step to the plates. It was evident in Europe, when Putin invaded Crimea and the European nations cried, but did nothing. They secretly wanted Obama to help them fight Putin, but the US is already in many conflicts.

I agree that Trump has hurdles to overcome.

For the RNC, Trump may take it because Cruz is hated more within the Republic Party. It was clear, when Republican leaders were secretly campaigning against him at the earlier stages. He is loathed in Congress because he has made a mess of his Party. Cruz winning the nomination will be a real surprise.

True Republicans are no fans of the Tea Party because they are extra conservative. Cruz is forming alliances with people that have extreme views as well. Although Trump is spouting extreme rubbish, Cruz is befriending extreme groups as well. He may get the Republican leaders to warm up to him, but I doubt it.

I think that it will be down to Trump vs Sanders. The winning trick for Trump is that he will support any cause at anytime to win any argument. Sanders is already well-established as a socialist. He is loved by the working-class and young people. However, the rich hate him. In the end, they will go for Trump because they will rather be "screwed" by Trump than sent back to the 1940's by Sanders. I think that once Trump wins the Republican nomination, he will become a centrist. he will start back-tracking on the radical views he had to win the Republicans over, then he will go to the centre to make Sanders look really extreme. That way, he can get Democrats or those on the fence to give him a chance.

I also do not like Trump, but he is very clever at what he has done. He has come onto the stage as a radical outsider ready to shake the US. He changes his mind everyday and make people to see hope in him. Of all the candidates, he is the most likely to become President.

He can only be president for two terms. However it doesn't state he can't run again. So the next election he could run again but I doubt he would want to.

He can only be elected President on two occasions.

He almost certainly could become President for a third term if he succeeded to the Presidency by being Speaker of the House, President Pro-Team of the Senate or a cabinet officer.

Some suggest he could become President having been Vice President but it is probable that the 12th Amendment prevents him from being VP.

Yeah, FDR was the exception, because he got America out of the great depression in the 1930s.

EDIT: actually the ammendment was passed after FDR

part of it was down to the second world war as there was no election during the war

And because of him. Everyone was terrified it could happen again.
