Why would it be doppler shift, it is to do with the magnetic or electric field. When dealing with CRTs, you will not get anything on doppler shift.

I said the electron gun in the telly moves left to right...so when the delayed signal is projected..the gun has moved slightly to the right of the original image...thus projecting the shadow slightly to the right.

Yep wasn't at all as bad as i thought it would be.

I remember getting k for the first question as 9/25 or 0.36.

1st question overall was quite good.
2nd had a good opening set but i fecked up the last parts.
3rd was good in the most part sketchy.
    4th was a beauty.

And that is that in terms of A levels, what was all the fuss about?

    Woohoo YAY!!

tbh i found it quite tricky....but ive always found synoptic pretty tricky. Plus my mind kept drifting to non-phys matters and i was finding it hard to concentrate and draw logical conclusions...stupid non-focused brains. Ooooh but when it came to the mathsy questions i got really excited! I'm so odd!

I did generally ok i think. I feeeeeecked up those last parts on 2 those ones about the power and half life etc. That was wang.

As for the tv one and why it shifts to the right, i said it was because the reflected signal was delayed and because the image is refreshed from left to right, the reflected signal would appear after the original signal hence on the right.

    Not too bad a paper.

    So glad i'm finished tho!!

    NO MORE EXAMS!!!!

EDIT: also i thought that the paper was particularly maths based. As a maths student i wasn't bothered, though, i was just think about my mate who doesn't do maths!
