can somebody please explain to me wat btec is? i know its part of edexcel... What kinda qualifications do they offer and how are they perceived by universities?

Hey, currently doing a BTEC ND in textiles and the majority of unis will accept them. Some courses won't accept it because it is a pratical course and maybe the course at uni is written and not pratical( this was one of my problems but now have decided on another uni!) I have found this course alot better than doing two yrs of work only for it to go down the pan if i didn't do well in my alevels( which i found out two yrs ago). If you enjoy doing coursework, go for it- be warned though sometimes you will get loads of assignments set at the same time for you to juggle around but its not too bad once you get sorted. Alot of the unis realise that many do other qualifications and at the end of the course it is equalivent to 3 a levels. Hope this helped u a bit!!
