    Hi everyone, I am a maths teacher, applying for the key stage 5 maths coordinator. Any tips for writing the personal statement bit...really struggling with the start.

    Tailor it to the job specification. Make sure you show evidence that you meet the criteria for the role fully. Be enthusiastic and say what you like about the school and why you want to work there. Obviously make a big deal of your KS5 experience and (hopefully) excellent track record of delivering results.

    If you want me to check if for you when you are finished you can private message me (link me to the job details too). I've seen hundreds of personal statements for teaching positions so have a good idea what will get you on the shortlist. To be honest, there may not be much competition for this particular job so you might not need to wow them in order to get an interview!
