I'm finding it hard to revise and stay motivated. I'm doing a level maths AS and A2 maths. I'm doing it all independently and I've been able to go through the content which took me a while. And I've paid for all my exams. But I can't seem to stay focuses anymore. My question is how do I stay focuses and not wonder into space and watch movies and so on? I can't seem to concentrate or revise anymore. Any little thing can distract me every a blank piece of paper. So how did you stay focused and motivated during study period?

I don't work at all when I'm stressed, I just start panicking and get nothing done.

Same. I can'[t start revision at all, and I really need to get A*s in at least 4 of my exams (+_+).

For Maths, I'd suggest isolating yourself from distraction (in the library or something, turn your phone off), having a bunch of past paper questions in front of you and fighting your way through. That's the only way I've managed to revise through the horrid M3 modules (which I struggle with the most and hate it)

Also, one thing I always do before starting Maths revision is by going to YouTube and watching Numberphile/Computerphile videos to get curious.

On 18th August 2016 do you want to feel depressed and full of regret that you didn't work hard enough? :ashamed2:

Or do you want to work your arse off and get amazing grades so you can make your parents feel really proud of you like these students in this video :woo::

    Go BIG or go HOME.

    The choice is yours...

Try a reward system eg for every past paper you're allowed to watch one program. The problem is getting the will power to revise but I just keep reminding myself of the satisfaction I'll get if I get a good grade. (Plus for every x amount of work I do, I watch old doctor who episodes that way there are no cliffhangers so I don't need to watch the next one) Maybe have a program that has no cliffhangers like House

I am like that too, I had a half hour revision session watched a movie, and then continued watching movies!

I recommend getting rid of all distractions surrounding you and give yourself mini awards along the way. Maybe look at some motivational quotes, or music or YouTube videos, to feel more motivated and inspired.

See my motivation is non-existent. It's gotten to the stage where I don't actually care about failing because I know that it is pretty inevitable
