Bought my 2003 1.2 corsa a couple days ago and its been great, i love it, however there is now a loud ticking noise happening, sounds like the engine, when im doing around 30mph the ticking is less louder i think and theres one warning light which is the "oil level warning light", so im guessing its to do with that? will topping up the oil fix this?
sorry guys im such a NOOB with cars lol

Definately check the dipstick and top up with engine oil if necessary - or your car will be on the scrapheap very soon.
don't know about the ticking though

If the ticking is indeed due to low oil then your engine might already be knackered. Buy the correct oil (it'll say in the handbook, or the little flip books in Halfrauds will tell you the correct oil) and top it up to the correct level on the dipstick. If the ticking goes away you may be safe, but if the ticking is internal engine components being run dry of oil then damage might already have been done.

Checking the oil is part of the driving test now....
